Conference on Tourism Development in Central and Central Highlands opened in Hue

19 provinces and cities in the Central – Tay Nguyen region have organized a conference to revive the huge potential of tourism in this region.

Although achieving such remarkable results, the development of tourism is not commensurate with the position and great potential of the region. Total revenue from tourism is low; has not attracted the market of high-end tourists. Tourism infrastructure system is limited, technical facilities are lacking (3-5 star standard hotel only accounts for about 17% of the whole country). The linkage in tourism development is limited, especially the link to build specific tourism products and promotion and promotion activities …

In the coming time, to maximize the advantages and development resources, make tourism become a key economic sector, “we converge here with aspiration for a rich Central – Highlands, to join the wings with aspiration for a mighty Vietnam, ”said Phan Ngoc Tho.

Connecting the coast with the Central Highlands according to each tourist development cluster – Northern Duyen Hai – Tay Nguyen cluster, taking Da Nang as the pillar and the Southern Coastal Region – Central Highlands, taking Nha Trang as pillar. Focusing on developing “chicken wings” for tourism in the North of Hai Van Pass, creating a tourism chain of Lang Co and Chan May (modern marine urban areas) – Hue (Ancient Capital) – Bach Ma (Mountain) – Quang Tri (History – Culture) – Quang Binh (Natural wonder), in collaboration with “chicken wings” in the south of Hai Van with Da Nang – Hoi An – Ba Na – My Son tourism chain, forming a high-class Tourism Zone of World.
